Our Under 12 girls team put up a very entertaining performance in near apocalyptic conditions in against Connolly at Kilmaley NS. There was great determination on show by the girls. We had a young team in comparison to our opponents but matched them fully. While our supporters stayed dry in their cars, our intrepid management and team stayed out together in a monsoon sponsored by generously donated umbrellas from the head of the Drumline primary teachers association.
During July and August, we have had U12 games against Coole FC, Bridge United and Hermitage FC and have played very well picking up some new faces along the way. More are always welcome. Next up for our U12's is a cup match against Corofin.
Separately, our U10 girls participated on Sunday morning in a home blitz against Shannon Town, Coole FC and Tulla United. We had two teams entered into this blitz as our numbers are very strong. In contrast, the weather was great and a great mornings soccer was had. This was their second blitz in August having again brought two teams to Tulla a couple of weeks ago.
Keep it up girls.
