The U13s girls travelled to Roslevan to take on Avenue in the cup and played out a 7-goal thriller.

The girls started very well with early goals from Sophie, Caoilinn and a great free kick from Emma Jones. The pressure stayed on with some intense high pressing which resulted in two more goals from Caoilinn and Faye Harrington.

The 2nd half saw some changes from the bench with Jessica, Lucy and a debuting Ciara all doing themselves proud. Especially Ciara who was unlucky not to cap her performance with a goal.

A tactically disciplined performance from Lucy and Grace in defence stymied Avenue’s attacking threat. Cara and Kate also did themselves proud with a battling performance down both flanks. All coupled with Abbie having a turn in midfield and putting in a controlling display.

Last night also saw both U9 squads travel to Newmarket and put in top drawer performances. Well done lads!
