A hugh CONGRATULATIONS again to our U14s Girls for reaching the SFAI National Trophy Final, they have made history by becoming the first team ever to reach a National Trophy Final within the clubs 36 year history, an extraordinary milestone that reflects their determination, skill, and team spirit.

Under the guidance of coaches Shane Purcell and Niall O’Grady, the squad has delivered a remarkable campaign, overcoming strong opposition from across the country on their road to the final. 

Their journey began with an impressive 5-1 victory away to Killarney from Kerry, setting the tone for what would become a memorable run. The girls continued their winning form by defeating Pallaskenry 6-0 away from Co. Limerick and then came the nail biting penalty shootout win at home to Kilishen from Laois showcasing both resilience & attacking quality. As the competition intensified, they rose to the challenge, securing an impressive 3-1 home win vs Celbridge from Kildare in the Last 16 and a 4-2 away win vs Granville from Limerick City in the Quarter Final, their semi-final clash saw them overcome Ballisodare from Sligo with an impressive 2-1 win, sealing their place in the National Final and confirming their status as one of the standout teams in the competition.

Now, all eyes turn to the Final, scheduled for this Sunday 10th of May in Evergreen Park, Kilkenny, kick off 3.30pm, where we will face Renmore AFC of Galway.
