BCFC welcomed Shannon Town B to Woulfe Park on Sunday in very tough conditions. We started much brighter creating some good chances in the opening 20 minutes and were rewarded when some good play from Podge Collins found it's way to John Feehily who finished well from close range on the half hour mark.
BCFC were on the up after this and continued to put the pressure on and John Feehily got his second of the day with a great finish from the right to make it 2-0 .
Shannon Town were let back into the game through a defensive error at the back with the striker making no mistake to make it 2-1 .
As the second half got under way we again started very well and created some great chances from Podge Collins and Dylan Kerr but couldn't find the back of the net. This proved to be costly as a second error put the opposition back on level terms. With the game at 2-2, Shannon Town has momentum and backed by a storm they were piling on the pressure looking for a winner. With 15mins to go they took the lead as a free kick from the half way line found its way into the back of the net.
Bunratty Cratloe went on to try and grab a third with minutes remaining and were caught at the back as Shannon Town broke make it 4-2 just before fulltime.
