U11 Blue vs Avenue Utd Yellow.
Due to a slight mix up there was a delay in kick off of this match. First half was a fairly tight game with not much in it but most of the the passing thru midfield was by BCFC without much end product. Some mistakes playing out from the back cost some soft goals but overall very happy with the attempt to keep passing the ball. The changes created will hit the net some other game. Special mention to Rory Jones who played so well and got his name on the scoresheet again.
U11 Black vs Shannon Town White
With a few players away we were down to the bare bones so some new players were thrown in at the deep end. And it did them the world of good as they battled hard all game. An early lead by BCFC was cancelled out and Shannon Town took a narrow lead at half time. The encouragement to keep playing the ball thru midfield paid dividends in the 2nd half and the goals started to flow. Some tidy finishes by the ever accurate Eoin Lyne and powerful running by Gavin Jones were some of the highlights. Caelan Hayes held things together centrally with impressive pace and tough tackling. Last kick of the game was a debut goal by new recruit Luke Culbert. A very impressive left foot finish to the top corner.
Well done both Blue and Black teams. Enjoy the Easter weekend break.
