At the BCFC recent AGM, Conor Twomey stepped down as chairperson and Alisdir Mac Millan was voted into the role.
Cathal Jones our vice chairperson had this to say about our outgoing Chairperson "Conor Twomey: For many years, the Twomey name has been synonymous with football at Woulfe Park. Conor carried on that tradition taking up a role as committee member following a long involvement with Shannon Town. He became our chairperson in 2023 and during his tenure in the role the club has gone from strength to strength seeing our membership numbers flourish at underage level across both boys and girls. Our junior team and facilities were also a focus for Conor and improvements implemented are reflected both on the pitch and also off it with significant advancements made in our club’s facilities with club facilities. Over his time with Clare football to date he has also given sterling service at league committee level for many years also, where his experience as fixture secretary is still leaned on and indeed his contribution was recognised with an award at the recent 40th anniversary celebrations."

Conor remains with us on the committee but it would be remiss of us not to note his contribution as he hands over to our incoming chair. All the committee would like to say a huge thank you to Conor for his trojan work over the last number of years, and would like to welcome Alisdir MacMillan to the role as Chairperson.
"It feels like a true family tradition to represent this club, a journey that began in the 1990s when my father, Don MacMillan, established three underage teams in Cratloe to ensure his three sons and their friends had a place to play. He went on to manage the adult teams for Cratloe Forest FC and, after the amalgamation, Bunratty Cratloe FC.
I as a player have represented Cratloe Forest, Bunratty, and Bunratty Cratloe FC over the last 20 years. It is a source of great pride to now also serve as Chairman of a club that I feel deeply about.
I want to start by acknowledging the incredible foundation laid by Conor and thank him and the committee for nominating me for the position of Chairman. Taking over from someone who has given so much to this club is a privilege; everybody speaks highly of Conor and the positive atmosphere he set at the club. BCFC is in a stronger, healthier position today because of his leadership. From everybody, thank you, Conor.
Looking ahead, my focus is on building a bright future for everyone at the club. I am committed to ensuring our underage players have an environment where their confidence is built and their skills are nurtured. At the same time, we are determined to develop a strong, competitive Junior side with a clear goal: pushing for the Premier Division. Together, we’ll keep BCFC growing and welcoming place for everyone."
