Wednesday U10 Girls League

Tulla Utd vs BunrattyCratloe FC (The Cragg, Tulla)

Both U10 girls teams made the way out to Tulla on Wednesday evening in their 2nd game of the league. Both produce a great performance. Kate o' Neill could have taken the ball home with her goal scoring talents. Leah, Ciara L, Ella, Sophia also with goals. Great team goal passed up from backs to mid to forwards and finished in the back of the net by Eilana. Exceptional defence by our girls especially Lauren K. Well done to all girls. Super performance. The second team made of mainly U9 players faced a much stronger Tulla side but they played some really good football also and scored a well earned goal for their efforts.

CSSL U11 Boys

Bridge Utd Blue vs BCFC Blue

Fantastic result for our U11 Blue squad tonight, who were away to Bridge Utd. in Sixmilebridge.

Our guys got off to a blistering start with a pressing game that proved too much for the opposition all game, led by Oisín Kelly and Conor Barron, who were both rewarded with early goals for their effort. Some very well worked chances were created.

More of the same in the second half with some excellent set-piece deliveries from Joshua Tuohy, and some tireless work out on the left from Luke Culbert.

Notable mentions for James Henchy at Centre back who was dominant all night and read the game very well from that position, Ruadhán Haugh who's positional play and defensive effort were inspirational, and both Evan McNamara and Christopher Moran who both worked tirelessly in midfield.

Finally let's not forget Rio Hehir who made a couple of fine saves in the first half to keep Bridge out.

Overall a fantastic effort and performance away from home but the guys showed outstanding energy and effort, which was the decisive factor between the teams in the end.

CSSL U11 Boys

Newmarket Celtic Red vs BCFC Black

2nd U11 team travelled to our neighbours Newmarket in what was an evenly balanced 1st 15 saw us create more chances but we failed the score more from overplaying than anything else. We rotated our keeper tonight to give everyone the chance of playing in goals which may have cost us as Newmarket scored very well taking long distance shots.

The boys dug in deep and fought back to score the last 2 goals of the game. Well done boys it was great to see the never die attitude.

Lots of lessons learned though so onwards and upwards and plenty to work on for the cup games next Thurs.
