The U12s were away to Moneypoint in Kilrush tonight.
After falling behind early in the first half the lads kept their heads and created a number of half chances. Conor B was taken down in the box on the stroke of half time and calmly slotted home the penalty. We kept the pressure up in the 2nd half but found it very difficult to break down their defence and while they were always dangerous on the counter attack Mark and Diarmuid were rock solid at the back.
With a minute to go we won a corner and Jack Richter showed quick thinking to take a short corner before the defence could set to Conor G who played a great first time cross into Alastair who buried the ball into the bottom corner with a great strike for the winning goal
