A wonderful team performance on a very warm evening saw the U13 girls score a 3-0 victory over Newmarket Celtic yesterday evening.
Muireann Earley scored early in the first half to give us the lead, and having soaked up some Newmarket pressure by virtue of a hard working and tight defence, we scored again through Keelin Early to lead 2-0 at half time.
Although Newmarket started very well in the second half, once again the girls fought hard and defended resolutely to keep them out. Bunratty/Cratloe finished the stronger of the teams and scored a deserved 3rd, again through the very impressive Keelin Early. In truth, Newmarket made a better contest of this match than the score line suggested, but the quality of the girls when going forward, coupled with a great team work ethic in defence made it a comfortable win in the end.
